4th Of July Celebrations

Happy 4th of July!

We have certainly enjoyed our extended weekend.

We started Friday morning off with a 4th of July parade.  The kids loved it and made a major haul in the candy department.  I think we will still have enough for the trick or treaters by the time Halloween rolls around!

{Checking out her loot}

After the parade and naps we went over to Gramma and Papa's house for a cook out.  The kids had a blast playing in the water table and eating their cheese burgers, potato salad, baked beans and blueberry pie.  There's nothing more American than that!

{Nothing like a little hose water}

We decided to take the kids to their first fireworks show this year.  It started a little late for our taste.  To me, dusk does not mean 9:45 for a start time!  Anywho.....the kids loved it.  They ooohhhhed and aaaahhhhhed at everything.  Liv had fun telling me what color each firework was.  Finn even loved it so much he took his pacifier out to say wow every time he saw something he liked.

{Finn waiting patiently for the fireworks to start...Dad, not so much}

{Watching a movie before the fireworks}

{When did he get so big?}

{Who thought we would have to bring blankets and jackets to a 4th of July fireworks show?}
