We took the kids to the apple orchard this year and let them pick their own apples for the very first time! Usually we hang by the animals, eat kettle corn and pick a bag of already picked apples from the barn. Truthfully, I've never known what to do with 20 pounds of apples (that's the pick your own minimum). All I know is I need to start browsing Pinterest for things to do with apples.
Our outing started off with a tractor ride. The kids loved telling us how they were able to drive Grandpa Richard's tractor the weekend before. But they didn't understand why they couldn't drive the tractor that we were on.
Next was hunting down the best tree to pick from. Olivia and Finn were great hunters, we came home with 24 pounds of apples. I have a feeling I am going to be really sick of apples after this.
One apple down, 99 to go!
Checking out the goats, don't get too close or they may steal your apple.
