San Francisco!

This post is timely since SF just won the World Series, but that isn't what this post is about.  Go Cubs!

The hubs and I recently celebrated our five year anniversary! Five years already, can you believe it?  Boy how our lives have changed.

We spent our anniversary week in San Francisco, CA.  Grandma Judy watched the kids while we were gone, thanks Grandma!  I think she might be in need of a very long nap!  Those kids can be exhausting.

Here are a few pictures (out of the 400+ that we took), enjoy!

Muir Woods National Monument (breathtaking!  If you ever make it out to SF, you NEED to go there, you will be amazed.  This was Scott's favorite part of the trip)

A very large banana slug!

Tree hugger

This particular tree fell (I can't remember how long ago, but anyway, when it fell, people could hear the crash over 2 miles away)

Alcatraz (This was my favorite part of the trip, I highly recommend taking the audio guided tour)

A former inmate was there on this particular day to speak and promote his book (which of course we purchased and still haven't read it)

The warden's house.  Most people who worked at Alcatraz lived on the island as well....with their families!

Breakfast anyone?

Napa Valley

A cork tree

Around San Francisco

We spent a lot of time on Fishermans Wharf.  They had the best seafood down there!

Lombard Street

I'm famous

YUM!

Chinatown

The Blue Angels were there practicing for Fleet Week.  Fleet Week started the day we left.  All I have to say is CROWDED.
