Pick Me Up Monday

Who needs a pick me up on Monday's.  I know I do.  Here are a few pictures that will make your Monday just a little better.

There's a story behind this picture, of course.  Olivia told us she wanted to go to Grammy's house.  Which was followed by her marching into her bedroom to retrieve her jacket and hat.  She managed to get herself dressed only forgetting one important piece of clothing, her pants.  Whoops!

Build-A-Bear

Gramma and Papa took Olivia and Emmie to Build-A-Bear for the first time last week.  They had so much fun!  Each girl got to pick out a bear, stuff it, put a heart in the bear and brush the bear’s hair.  They even got to pick out outfits and shoes for the bears to wear home.  Olivia picked out a pink tutu and roller skates.  The pink tutu makes sense; I’m not sure why she was drawn to the roller skates.

Olivia giving her bear a heart.  She even got to kiss it first.

Brushing the hair.

Olivia named her bear Heartsie.  She loves Heartsie, he is one of the 150 stuffed animals that she sleeps with every night.

All in all the excursion was a success, except for the 45 times Olivia ran out of the store and bolted down the mall hallway (I got my exercise that day).  I really need to invest in a leash.
One last picture, just for pure cuteness.

Birthday Party Madness

A few weeks back we celebrated Emmie's third birthday and Olivia's second.  The party was Mickey Mouse themed with a Mickey cake, Mickey cupcakes, Mickey ears, whistles and presents galore.

Aunt Abbie bought the girls the cutest shirts, tutus, and hair bows.  The hair bows even stayed on their heads for the majority of the party.

I made a Mickey Mouse cake which turned out better than I thought it would.  You could actually tell what it was.

Lesson learned -- don't turn your back on Olivia, even if it's only 30 seconds!  This girl loves her sugar.

The girls were spoiled with lots of gifts.  They each receive Bitty Twins from Grandma and Papa, complete with accessories and a wagon.

Such a Good Big Sister

Olivia really loves her little brother.  She helps feed him, change him, and burp him.  She even teaches him how to do tummy time.  But most of all, she loves sharing her passion for books with him.

Hop on Pop

Why hop on pop when you can lay on him?
