Pumpkin Hunting

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch this weekend.  We may have waited a few weeks too long, but everyone still had a good time.

The pumpkins were pretty picked over and it was awfully cold/windy, but the smiles were out in full force.

Olivia loved pulling the wagon and hunting for the perfect pumpkin.

Finn had a heck of a time walking, probably because of the getup that I had him dressed up in.  It looked an awful lot like the Christmas Story snow suit, minus the pants.  Just trying to keep them from getting any sicker than they already are.

Next year we will have to go a little earlier in October.

Yearly Pictures

Here are a few pictures from the most recent photo shoot.

September 2013
Olivia - 3 years old (almost)
Finley - 1 year old

The photo shoot was a major disaster.  Actually, Finn was a major disaster.  Meatball did not want to sit still.  I think we have just two or three pictures where he is actually cooperating.  I was in a full on sweat by the time we left the store.  Thankfully my mom went with to help and Olde Towne bakery was right around the corner.

Olivia on the other hand was sweet as pie!

These are the outfits that Scott brought home from his trip to China.

Welcome Baby Zander

Baby Zander was born on September 21st but we finally had the privilege of meeting him last weekend.

Zander is such a cute little guy, very happy and content.  This little one loves to be snuggled.  I think I monopolized the holding time, sorry Tina.  I guess I had to get my baby fix.

Olivia was in love as soon as she saw Zander.  She found her cutest little baby voice and talked to him every chance she got.  Finn on the other hand, he was a little jealous.  Whoever was holding Zander, he thought that person should be holding him at that exact moment.  I suppose now he knows how Liv felt when he came along.

Congratulations Auntie Jessie and Uncle David.  You have a cutie pie on your hands.

On the way up to Gramma Judy's house we had to stop at the Cheese factory and visit Egor, too bad Finn couldnt sit still for the perfect photo opportunity.

Playing peek on the way home, just trying to occupy the time.

Can you believe it, the kids were actually playing together.  No pushing, kicking or hair pulling was involved.

Dancing Fools

We still love dancing to the Big Bang Theory theme song.  Here are a few clips to make you smile.

Olivia

Finn

Mr Mischief

This drawer used to have things stored in it, however, since Finn has become mobile we've had to relocate those items.

I walked into the kitchen the other day to see something new has taken over the drawer.

He had zero help getting in there, I knew he was up to something when it became way too quite!

Bath Time Fun

I couldn't resist posting these, we tried to make them as politically correct as possible.

Bath time used to be fairly calm when there was only one.  Adding another baby was a recipe for disaster.

Gramma Judy and Grandpa Richard Visit Illinois

Gramma Judy and Grandpa Richard made a quick trip to visit last weekend to see Finn for his 1st birthday and help celebrate Scott's 35th!

It was Grandpa Richard's first trip to Illinois....ever, so we gave him the whirlwind tour.  We visited most of the John Deere sites, took a driving tour of Arsenal Island, went out to lunch and, of course, took him to Whiteys.  Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Gramma Judy must not be feeling well, Dr. Olivia to the rescue.

Olivia's First Race

The 24th annual John Deere 5K was held last week.  Both Scott and I ran the 5K race, Scott did great, especially considering he was just kicking the flu (which by the way, has ripped through our house like a tornado).  I didn't do so great, I am blaming it on the early start time (8AM!!!), the cold weather and a bum knee.  Or that I am just way out of shape.

We also signed Olivia up for the 50 yard dash.  She was so excited to run in a race just like mom and dad.  Let's just say she "ran".  It was more like mom pulling her down the stretch.  She was a little overwhelmed with all of the people around her, but was excited to see they were giving out medals and candy at the finish line.

Crazy Driver

Some of you may remember "Olivia's first accident" from last summer.  If not, let me refresh your memory.

Oops, did I do that?

Remember not to drink and drive people.

And now I will warn you, if you see a green cart with a flag on top of it barreling down the aisle at Hy-Vee look out, better yet, leave that aisle immediately.
