Igor

This is Olivia's Halloween inspiration!

How cute are these two?  And I don't mean the mouse and scarecrow.

San Francisco!

This post is timely since SF just won the World Series, but that isn't what this post is about.  Go Cubs!

The hubs and I recently celebrated our five year anniversary! Five years already, can you believe it?  Boy how our lives have changed.

We spent our anniversary week in San Francisco, CA.  Grandma Judy watched the kids while we were gone, thanks Grandma!  I think she might be in need of a very long nap!  Those kids can be exhausting.

Here are a few pictures (out of the 400+ that we took), enjoy!

Muir Woods National Monument (breathtaking!  If you ever make it out to SF, you NEED to go there, you will be amazed.  This was Scott's favorite part of the trip)

A very large banana slug!

Tree hugger

This particular tree fell (I can't remember how long ago, but anyway, when it fell, people could hear the crash over 2 miles away)

Alcatraz (This was my favorite part of the trip, I highly recommend taking the audio guided tour)

A former inmate was there on this particular day to speak and promote his book (which of course we purchased and still haven't read it)

The warden's house.  Most people who worked at Alcatraz lived on the island as well....with their families!

Breakfast anyone?

Napa Valley

A cork tree

Around San Francisco

We spent a lot of time on Fishermans Wharf.  They had the best seafood down there!

Lombard Street

I'm famous

YUM!

Chinatown

The Blue Angels were there practicing for Fleet Week.  Fleet Week started the day we left.  All I have to say is CROWDED.

Goodbye Warm Days

Folks, I'm afraid the warm weather is gone for the year.  Yesterday was 77 degrees - today it is 55!

We had to get outside yesterday to enjoy the last day that playing outside might be possible.

Poor kid needs some boy toys!

Look out, she goes about 50 miles an hour down the driveway then whips a right hand turn.  Just like she's been doing it for years.

Halloween Parade

My kids are SO excited for Halloween.  I don't know about yours, but mine have already had enough candy to tide them over for the rest of the year!!

Over the weekend we ventured out to the Bettendorf Halloween parade.  I was a little disappointed in it.  Of course, I am used to the fabulous Moline parades!  Nothing can stand up to those.

The kids did have fun, though.  It was at a pretty bad time of the day for us, 1:00 PM, nap time!  I had to keep herding them off the curb so they could enjoy what was coming down the street!

Hide and Seek

Can you spot them?

Pumpkins

Last year when we picked our pumpkins we were a llittle late in the game (meaning we went about a week before Halloween and didn't have much to pick from).

This year I thought I was doing great, I was way ahead of schedule.  Apparently NOT!  Three weeks before Halloween and we still couldnt find the 'Great Pumpkin'.  We are going to end up hunting our pumpkins in August next year!

I suppose it didn't really matter how many pumpkins there were to pick from the kids still had a great time!

Olivia's pumpkin, she loved the teeny tiny ones.

Finn's find was much larger!

The kids loved feeding the goats!

I love Finn's expression in this picture, he loved those animals!
