The Birthday Girls

In case you haven't been exposed to Frozen enough yet, brace yourself!

The theme for Olivia and Emmie's birthday party this year was Frozen. To say these two little girls were in Heaven is an understatement.

The party was complete with a Princess Elsa cake, Frozen iceberg punch, blue pretzel sticks and Pin the Nose on Olaf!

Olivia and Finn helped me bake the cake.  And by help I mean they stood nipping at my toes the whole time I was mixing.  "Are you done with the beaters yet, Mom"?

My little bakers!

The cake!

The blue punch.  The ice cream was supposed to look like snow balls.

Olivia was thrilled with the singing Anna doll that matches her singing Elsa doll.  Mom....not so much.

Olivia was nice enough to let Finn open one of her gifts.  Finn gets himself all bent out of shape when someone receives a present and he doesnt.

Momo playing with the kitty.  Don't ask me which one, I have no idea.

We were lucky Elsa didn't go up in flames while we were singing happy birthday.  There would have been some serious tears.

Our sweet babies.

Pin the Nose on Olaf

Emmie in her Elsa costume.

Finny helping Aunt Abbie spin Emmie.

And the grand finale!  I don't know how this happened, but Finn ended up in Emmie's Elsa costume.  Isn't he cute!  Future wedding pictures I think.

He wasn't thrilled.

More Presents!

Another shipment of Christmas gifts arrived yesterday.  Thanks for the cool gifts Aunt Laura and Uncle Keith.  You knew exactly what we would like.

Finn loves his new cars so much he had to sleep with them last night.

We've played Minnie Mouse Dominos a few times, Olivia just loves it.  She's practicing so she can keep up with Gramma and Papa.

Family Museum

The kids and I visited the local Family museum last week while Emmie was in town.  They had so much fun.  Major naps were needed after!

The kids spent most of their time at the fire truck, pizza restaurant, water table and forest slide.

The boy and his trucks!

Fighting fires.  The cutest firefighters that I've ever seen.

Later in the afternoon the kids pulled out the pool noodles to fight fires around our house.  It must have been Dad's night to cook.

Again, the boy and his trucks!

Weeeee

Driving the ladies.

Livie following in Mom's footsteps.  Do you think she will be a waitress at Pizza Hut when she grows up? Let's hope not.

Em is staying safe with her oven mitts.

Who knew this kid likes to wash dishes.  I need to put him to work at home.

Is it Really January?

We were able to play outside yesterday, the kids loved it!!  It was nice to get outside to burn some of that winter energy!

Too bad it is snowing today.

We even had a snow ball fight:

We might need to work on Livie's aim.  Can you spot the snowball?

Snow!

It's 40 degrees out today!

Before all of the snow melts we decided to go sledding.

Surfing?  Leave it to Finn to think outside of the box.

Baking!

Who wants to help Mommy bake?

These two do!

It's hard to figure out why they love it when I bake, isn't it?

It's Basketball Season

We went to our annual Moline basketball game with Papa on Friday.

It was Finn's first game.  I am pretty sure he loved it.  He had a great time eating fists full of popcorn, swigging down Papa's Pepsi and eating my Laffy Taffy.

Olivia had a great time watching the cheerleaders.  She got each one to wave at her after the game was over.  She was thrilled to say the least.

Olivia found a mom of one of the players to sit with for about half of the game.  She said she liked sitting with her better because she had a sparkly Moline shirt on.  I may be raising a diva.

Mom's little basketball lovers!

Bye Bye Paci

After some inspiration from a fellow mommy I decided to take the paci away from Finn last night.

Since he only gets it at night time and nap time when he is home with mom I wasn't sure how hard the task at hand was going to be.  Nap time was a breeze, he is so used to not having it at school that he was okay with not having it here as well.

Night time was a little different.  It only took him 10 minutes of crying to give up the thought of not having a pac, but he woke up about every hour crying for it last night!

He doesn't look nearly as tired as mommy does!  Good thing we don't have to go anywhere today, I might scare a few people if I had to venture into public!!  Yikes!

I wish Starbucks would deliver those delicious Salted Caramel Frappes!

In other news, we have a Frozen birthday party this weekend!  Needless to say I have one excited little girl in my house!
