The Book!

You might think it is Christmas time around here when the kids break out their favorite book read by Gramma and Papa.

We've only read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas 67 times this week.  But the kiddos are happy that they get to hear Gramma and Papa's voice before bed!

The Movie Goers

As long as there is popcorn the munchkins are happy.

Finley's First Dentist Appointment

Finley went to his first dentist appointment last week.  He loved it.  I didn't have to coax him into the chair or bribe him to open his mouth.  He actually wanted to have the same fluoride treatments that his sister had at her appointment the same day.  I have a feeling that he will be singing a different tune next time he goes.

Aside from the minor enamel issues, his mouth looks great.

Girls Day!

Olivia and I had an impromptu girls day yesterday.  Papa took Finley to climb on the John Deere tractors as a reward for some major potty accomplishments this week.  As they drove out of the driveway with Finn I told Olivia she could run the afternoon!

We had the most wonderful time!  Olivia is such a riot with her stories and sweet attitude.

We started off shopping at the mall and eating at Subway, one of her favorite places.

After lunch she wanted to go to the book store.  Her choice was a Princess Ballerina book.  Very fitting!

I thought we were done after the book store, not according to Olivia.  She wanted to go on a train ride.

Last but not least, my favorite part of the day:  Country Style!

Sprinkler Park Fun

Or not so much!

I thought it would be a perfect day to spend at a little sprinkler park here in town.  Boy I could not have been more wrong.

I should have consulted with the masters of the house before we left.

I thought it was the perfect cool afternoon to sit outside and watch these two play.  Apparently it as too cold to get into the water!  We spent more time driving to the park then at the actual park.  Deep sigh!

Annual Channel Cat Tour

We took the kids on our annual Channel Cat tour last weekend.  The weather was just perfect and the kids had a great time.

The ducks were very happy that we made the trip out as well.  We brought a grocery bag full of old bread to feed to them.  It was gone in about 5 minutes.  They were very full ducks when we were done.

Happy 4th of July!

Maybe I should change the title to "Happy 4th of August".   Yikes!

We had a wonderful 4th of July.  We enjoyed the Bettendorf parade and are still eating the candy that we hauled home.  Maybe I will get to pass some out for Halloween this year.

After time in the pool and naps we found the perfect spot to watch the fireworks.

Don't worry, he didn't burn anything down.  However, he would have thought that was pretty cool if he did.

The kids had a great time and assume that we get to celebrate the 4th of every month like that.
