Our Little Athlete

Olivia's first softball season has finally started.  It's a nail biter, let me tell you.

She loves being there, looks forward to going every week.  She was even in tears when practice was cancelled because of the rain this week.

This is the first time she has ever really tried to play softball, so you can imagine what goes on at practice, but she will get there.  It's the little improvements that count.  That's what I have to tell myself at least.  It's hard to watch at times.

Running to first base

These two little girls were so cute.  They are by far the youngest ones on the team.

During warm ups they played "catch" together.

Which consisted of rolling the ball to each other and laughing hysterically when it rolled past the other.

Don't forget about Finn, he was there too.  He spent most of the time trying to run onto the field, rolling down the hill and racing Dad all the way out to the parking lot and back.  Whew!

Rain Rain Go Away

April showers bring May Flowers.  So what happens when it rains every day in May?

You let your kids play outside in their PJ's.  This is something that my sister and I used to do when we were little too.  Every time it would rain hard enough our back yard would flood.  My sister and I would put on our nightgowns (I had a red/pink one and my sister had a blue one) and we would splash around in the standing water.

Welcome Spring

We are enjoying the beautiful Spring weather these days.  Here are a few pictures of our outdoor adventures.

Celebrating Papa

My Dad was inducted into the Illinois Basketball Hall of Fame last weekend for a book that he co-authored a few years back: "A Century of Moline Boys' Basketball: 1904 - 2007".  Read more about the book here.

We made the trip down to Peoria to help him accept the award.  Here are a few pictures from the celebration.

We are so proud of you Papa!

A long trip for Olivia.
