Softball According to Olivia

Olivia's first softball season has come to an end.  According to Olivia, that is a good thing.  She wasn't a huge fan, she says it was boring.  Hopefully she will have a change of heart next year.

She was a big fan of the snacks afterwards, though.  It's not for the love of the game with 4 year olds.  It's for the love of the snacks.

After her very first game Olivia made a very bad decision in the world of cookies.  Olivia picked a back of chocolate chip cookies. After devouring the bag and her drink it was time for bed.  We tucked the kids in, kissed them goodnight then went off to finish some housework.

After about a half hour I went upstairs to go to bed myself but thought I would check on the kids one last time.  Finn was fast asleep holding his stuffed monkey and his creepy pillow with Scott's and my picture on it.  Don't ask, it was a gag gift that went wrong and we ended up with it.  He loves it and has to sleep with the "Mommy and Daddy Pillow" every night.

When I peeked into Olivia's room she was still awake.  I told her how proud I was of her and tucked her in one last time.  Her response was "Ohh, I should have picked the Oreo's".  Her night was ruined because of a poor choice in cookies.  Priorities!

In addition to the snacks the coaches gave all of the girls on the team a trophy.  Olivia is so proud!

Our First Family Vacation

I was able to share a place with my family that has been so near and dear to my heart since I was little - Vero Beach, Florida.

Ever since I was a little girl my family has been spending their spring vacation in Vero!  Actually, this tradition now goes back five generations.

We went every where that I could remember.  All of the sights, sounds and smells were the same.  It did not disappoint!  I can't wait to take my family back again.

I have so many pictures that I don't know where to start with sharing them.  So here are a few of my favorites.

We spent our first day Downtown Disney.  The kids loved every minute of it.

Once the kids were thuroughly exhausted we made the 1.5 hour drive to Vero Beach.  The remaining days were spent on the beach and in the pool at the house.  We left with two little fish who can't wait to go back.

We're Open for Business

We finally opened the pool this past weekend.  Life couldn't get any better around here.

I mean really, life is rough!
