Baby Zander's First Trip to Iowa

We had a few visitors this past weekend.  Auntie Jessie, Uncle David and Zander came down to play.

The kids had so much fun playing with Zander, Olivia even tried to teach him how to crawl.

Baby Z is 9 months old and just the sweetest baby around!  We loved having them down.

Saturday we spent the morning in Le Claire.  We went to the American Pickers shop, walked around the downtown area, visited the distillery, and even found a cute little wine store.

After naps we introduced Zander to the baby pool.  I think he enjoyed his first swim.

Summer's First Swim

We finally brought out the baby pool this weekend.  The kids enjoyed swimming and splashing all weekend long.

Don't worry, he will get her back one day!

Finley had fun pushing his car around the yard.  He almost enjoyed this more than getting sprayed with the hose.

I can't wait until the big pool is finished and we can all enjoy a little swimming!  

Bare Feet...errr...Foot

I don't know why but Finn will not keep his shoes and socks on his right foot.  EVER.

As soon as we get in the car, as soon as we get in the house, as soon as we get dressed in the morning the shoe and sock come of the right foot.  ONLY THE RIGHT FOOT.  I don't get it.

Olivia's First Hair Cut

We finally cut Olivia's hair.  It was a sad day for me, I love her long locks.  Her hair is so soft and fine, it has just the slightest curl at the end.

Olivia did great!  She sat very still the entire time she was in the chair.

Finn was there too.  He kept dad on his toes while Olivia was getting her hair cut, in true Finn fashion.

Since Olivia did so well, we treated them to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings.  Okay, it was more like treating daddy, but that's okay.  They had fun being our Sauce Bosses.

....and some ice cream.  Maggie Moo's might be our new favorite place!  It was delish!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day two the two best dads I know....a day late.

I am extremely blessed to have the father that I have.  He has taught me so much.  He has been my mentor and my coach, teaching me how to win with grace and lose with, well, we didn't do so good with the loosing part.  Thank you for always being there for me.

We celebrated father's day with a five hour ride in the car.  How awesome does that sound!  Here is the questionnaire that Olivia filled out for her daddy.  All of the answers are her own, unprompted.
